Drifting Events in Malaysia

Toyo Drift Show

The Toyo Drift Show represents the final round of the Toyota Gazoo Race Series which was held on March 2018. The venue for this explosive event was in Technology Park Malaysia in Bukit Jalil. The event brought some of the top drifters in the circuit including Masato Kawabata who is a 3-time All-Japan D1 Drift Campion and a Drift World Record Holder as well.
Apart from that, Hideyuki Fujino, the All-Japan D1 Drift Champion for 2017 was also at the event. This series started in August at the Batu Kawan Stadium before heading to MAEPS Serdang for the scond round in November. After that, it was to Medini Iskandar Puteri in Johor before this round.

MSF Drift Gonzo 2018

This event is part of the MSF (Malaysia Speed Festival) series. Set to be one of the premier drifting events, there are several categories available which are Super 1600, Street Limited and Pro Comp. For Super 1600, cars with naturally-aspirated engine capacities of a maximum of 1600cc is allowed. Besides that, they cannot be rotary engine vehicle and can only use up to 15-inch tyres.
On the other hand, Street Limited category only allow those that comply with certain restrictions while Pro Comp are specifically for vehicles that are modified for this race with maximum safety precautions.

Malaysia Super Drift

The Malaysia Super Drift is one of the major events for motorsports lovers. It was held in March 2017 at Summit USJ. This event saw participations in 3 categories which are the CS Class, the RWD Class and the RWD King Stay.

Malaysia Drift Championship

This is perhaps the oldest drifting event in Malaysia. Hosted by D3 Arena Malaysia, this event attracts among the top drifters not only from Malaysia but from the circuit as well. It is among the most anticipated drifting events in the calendar which attracts among the top drifters from around the world to the shores of Malaysia for a few days of motorsports and festivities.

Suzuka Drift Race Challenge Series

The Suzuka Drift Race Challenge Series was organized by Suzuka Oil Sdn Bhd. In 2016, this event was held at Batu Kawan in December. Prior to that, the company organized the same events in Penang and along the ELITE and PLUS highways. During this event, drifters from all over the world were invited to join which saw some 80 participants from countries like Indonesia, Thailand, China, Singapore and Malaysia. Beginners were involved as well.
